Fill out the request-a-quote form and we’ll contact you to schedule a consultation over the phone to discuss your needs. 

03 We’ll Do the Heavy Lifting

In preparation for your event or custom order, we'll organize and prepare every detail needed to create your vision. We will coordinate through email and regular meetings ensuring deadlines are met and you’re happy each step of the way.

Once you’ve reviewed and approved your quote, you’ll receive an invoice with payment instructions and a contract to sign. Upon completion, we will get the project started!

02 Sign to Start

With all details finalized, we will help take your event to the finish line so you can focus on living in the moment knowing your event is running smoothly. Enjoy your cake and sweets or feel great mailing off your beautiful invitations to family and friends!

I’m Vanessa!

I am a certified wedding and special events planner with more than 15 years of experience catering custom cakes, wedding invitations, and edible products featuring corporate logos. I have assisted charities, businesses and individuals in the planning and execution of charity galas, benefit concerts, anniversary lunch/dinner parties, wedding events and more. 

 

Upon first contact with a client, I may be the “cake lady” or the “vendor making the invitations”. But throughout the conversations, follow up meetings, emails and texts I become your planning ally, a sounding board, a shoulder to cry on and a cheerleader. 

 

Sometimes my clients need a little more than the details of a design and I count my blessings that I can be there for them in so many ways.

 

I’ll never forget a Sunday afternoon phone call from a bride. I had created invitations and favor tags for her wedding that she was so happy with! On this day though, she was in tears. Seven days before the wedding, a challenging situation arose and she needed help ASAP! I quickly put on my event planning hat and things were back on track.

 

The week was crazy busy for all of us but, by Wednesday, the run sheet was in her hand, décor and floral orders were good to go, on Friday I made all the bouquets, bouts and corsages and by Saturday night (well, early Sunday morning after last dance and take down), I hugged a very happy couple and a grateful family.

 

I look forward to bringing this same joy, passion and experience to you and your next event!

How much for a cake?


Final pricing depends on the cake style, design, size(s), flavours and any extra decorations and supports to complete the design. For an accurate quote, please fill in the Request-A-Quote form. Cake guide:
6" cake serving 12-15, starting at $75
8" cake serving up to 24, starting at $115
10" cake serving 30, starting at $135 Larger cake sizes and tiered cakes will be quoted on request.




Can I send an e-transfer?


Yes, e-transfers and cash are accepted for payments for any of our services. The email containing your invoice and order contract will include payment instructions.




Do you make gluten-free?


Yes, gluten free cakes in certain flavours may be ordered, however if someone has a severe allergy/intolerance or Celiac, it is best to arrange a separate treat from a GF bakery.




We have a guest with peanut allergy, can you make it nut free?


All edible products are prepared nut-free, however, the facility is not a certified nut/gluten-free environment. For severe allergies and intolerances, it is best to arrange your order from a certified nut-free bakery or store. We recommend:

Covid-19 Details:


Consultations
All consultations for services will be conducted by phone, email and/or Zoom.
Order Schedule
Custom cake and treat orders must be placed at least 14 days prior an event date. This will allow for efficient communication, planning and acquisition of the supplies required. During the pandemic, some of our suppliers have closed or changed their business model; some products may take longer to receive or may no longer be available. No contact Delivery & Pick-Up
Arrangments will be made for porch drop off or pick-up. We will call on arrival. No contact Payments
All initial payments will be received by e-transfer. Balances due may be paid in advance by e-transfer or cash in an envelope upon delivery/pick up. On-site Set-Up
Where necessary and permitted, VLE staff will provide set-up services. PPE will be worn and physical distancing rules will be followed. If you have multiple vendors servicing your event, please be sure to coordinate staggered entry and exit times. Please let us know if extra measures may be necessary per the rules of the venue.




How far in advance do I need to book a service/place my order?


For wedding services, it is best to reach out as soon as you have your ceremony and reception venue(s) booked. The more time we have to discuss your needs and prospective work timeline, the better! Guidelines: 6-8 months in advance for invitations, 4-6 months in advance for wedding coordination or wedding cakes and sweets. For custom cakes, cookies and/or sweet table treats, one to two months notice is ideal to secure your date in our schedule, even if you do not have all the details worked out yet. At minimim, we require 2 weeks notice to discuss your event needs plan and acquire the necessary supplies. Rush orders may be accepted, subject to availability.
